Eligibility

to sit for the Just Culture Exam, leading to qualification as a Just Culture Champion.

Learning Objectives

Examine and demonstrate the role of an organization’s mission and values in establishing a culture of fair accountability and continuous improvement (“Just Culture”).
Evaluate the three primary duties and their role in a Just Culture framework of workplace justice.
Understand key components of the Just Culture Algorithm, including the five core behaviors and the five pathways.
Discuss and use the Threshold Investigation questions when evaluating events.
Choose and defend one of the five pathways in the Just Culture algorithm in realistic case-based scenarios.
Contrast the five core behaviors representing the spectrum of human intention.
Support an algorithmic endpoint with the answers from the Threshold Investigation questions in realistic case-based scenarios and discuss the organizational response in a Just Culture.
Appraise the quality of individual choice and describe system performance-shaping factors.
Consider the role of a Champion in a Just Culture implementation.

The “3-Days Over 3-Weeks” Intensive Format:

Attend three half-days on a sequential day of each week (11am to 4pm Eastern) with a small cohort of e-Learners facilitated by a Just Culture Company Advisor. Each day includes case-based scenarios, strategies for conducting Threshold Investigations, and practice applying the Just Culture Algorithm. Expect some at-home assignments, designed to help you assess and apply the Just Culture in your workplace. At-home assignments are estimated to require 45 minutes to complete.
