No Harm, No Foul

Many of us grew up learning the term.  No harm, no foul.  Unfortunately, it has become a risk management philosophy with organizations and society as a whole.  We societally turn a blind eye to risky choices, waiting for the undesirable outcome to occur.  When harm occurs, we pounce on
those closest to the action.

A chief medical officer at a hospital, said it well, “We will judge the quality of your choices, not the triumph or the tragedy that those choices produced.”

Justice, in the workplace or on the streets, should not be left to those unlucky enough to cause harm.
